If I'm really honest with myself, up until early 2026, I was still using my AI tools like a slightly smarter Google search.
And it's been great but…I've realised it's like driving a Ferrari at 10km/h in a 120km/h speed zone.

After I experienced a seismic "never-going-back" moment when I finally started using Claude Code, I encouraged a long-time friend to also rip the band-aid and do the same.
He spent the next 96 hours on a vibe coding rampage.
And by the end of it, had built a fully functioning v1 of a much-needed operations dashboard from scratch.
No developers. No coding experience.
Just him, a Claude Code subscription, and a problem he needed to solve.

That's when it clicked for me.
99% of AI advice isn't bad…it's just misdirected.
Nearly all "shiny-object" use cases of AI you see in your newsfeed aren't relevant to your current job, career or business.
But when you have a burning problem you need to solve that's right in front of you, AI can suddenly give you the power of a 10-person team of developers, programmers, coders, and operational weapons ready to build something relevant to your life.
If you're ready to rip the band-aid and see what's possible for you, I've written a short beginners guide to help you overcome the initial "WTF" of using Claude Code like a pro.
At the time of writing it's my daily driver, but know that this info is platform agnostic and will apply to any tool you choose to use now or in the future.
What I tell everyone to do after they've read my guide:
