Compared to my 4-week average of 47.25% — that's a +44% uplift in opens from a cheeky subject line.

April Fools Scheming: I pulled out a classic email marketing hack of making you think you'd (accidentally) ordered one of my digital products.
My A/B Test: My email provider lets me run a 60-minute A/B test—basically a headline showdown—to a small slice of this newsletter community first. After an hour, the winning subject line gets sent to everyone else.
Chaos Ensued: Not really...but it sparked the most replies & fun I've ever had since starting to write emails :)
Got a few laughs 🤣
Got a few messages of support 👏🏽
Got a few kudos 🤌🏽
And of course — got a few unsubscribes (bless 'em!).
That said, for me it was:
✅ Worth it for the laughs.

Would I recommend doing it every week?
